Today, major websites around the internet are raising awareness of SOPA and PIPA, two prospective bills that threaten the internet with broadly defined and poorly thought out reactions to copyright infringement. It’s generally agreed that piracy is an issue that needs to be dealt with, but government oversight that threatens to break the internet is not the answer.
